Get to Know Celeste

Meet Celeste Carolin, an engaging and inquisitive Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, who carries a passion for creating a therapeutic space tailored to each client's unique needs. Celeste's approach is grounded in a strengths-focused, systems theory perspective, emphasizing collaboration, mindful self-awareness, and a keen appreciation for the diverse factors that shape an individual's journey.

Celeste firmly believes in therapy as a collaborative process. She views her clients as equal partners, respecting their autonomy and recognizing their unique expertise in their own lives. Change, in her view, unfolds from identifying and building upon the strengths and resources that individuals, couples, and families already possess.

Her understanding of change is deeply rooted in a systems perspective. By examining the dynamics of family, cultural influences, and societal factors, she helps clients gain insight into how their relationships and environments impact their well-being. Mindfulness and self-awareness are key pillars of her approach, promoting a deeper understanding of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that enable clients to make conscious choices and foster healthier patterns of interaction.

Celeste has spent her career empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges and transitions. She offers specialized therapy services to teens and adults dealing with ADHD/ADD, depression, anxiety, gender and sexuality navigation, faith or belief changes, anger issues, trauma, and eating disorders. She has particular expertise in offering unique ADHD-affirming couples therapy when ADHD symptoms impact the relationship dynamics.

Drawing from her personal journey of growing up in a military family and coming out as queer at a non-affirming religious university, Celeste brings empathy, understanding, and lived experience to her practice. Her diverse background equips her with a distinctive lens to appreciate the complex interplay of identity, faith, culture, and personal growth.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Celeste cherishes exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape with her partner, grandkids, and their adorable Mini Aussie pup, Jackson Blue.

In addition to her therapeutic work, Celeste is a renowned speaker and advocate for LGBTQ+ issues. She has lent her voice to numerous podcasts, blogs, and interviews discussing LGBTQ+ parenting and has presented on affirming parenting of LGBTQ+ children at the United Nations NGO Committee of Mental Health. Her significant work with LGBTQ+ teens and adults over the past decade has contributed to building youth and parent acceptance programs.

Celeste’s welcoming personality, dedication to her clients, and commitment to social advocacy make her an invaluable member of our team. She continues to inspire change through her work, promoting understanding, acceptance, and growth.
