Get to know me
Kelsey Lucido is a Marriage and Family Therapy intern at Northwest Relationships, practicing under the supervision of Robin Beckley, LMFT. She works with individuals, couples (hetero, queer, and polycules), families, and adolescents, with focus areas in religious and spiritual trauma, grief, self-esteem, trauma, couples' dynamics, women's issues, and the exploration of sex and sexuality. Kelsey is especially drawn to emerging adults, adolescents, couples seeking deeper connection, high-achievers, survivors of sexual violence, and people exploring or deconstructing religious beliefs.
Kelsey draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, somatic therapy, and attachment theory. Her approach is humanistic and client-centered, holistic, strengths-based, and resiliency-focused. Kelsey is HAES-affirming, sex-positive, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed, and works to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can show up fully and engage openly and curiously with themselves and the world.
Kelsey is currently completing her Master's in Couple and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary with a certificate in Women and Gender Studies, and dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and Theology from Seattle Pacific University. She has additional training in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and the EFT Externship in Advanced Clinical Training. Kelsey identifies as a Christian, Humanist, and spiritual zillenial, perspectives that inform her work with clients navigating faith, family of origin, and identity. Outside of session, she paddleboards, swims, cooks vegan meals, teaches indoor spin classes, and stays plugged into pop culture. She also volunteers with organizations addressing homelessness, supporting foster families, and participating in Seattle social activism.
Show up, embrace what you already know, and stay curious about the rest.
