Get to know me
Krista Hendrickson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Northwest Relationships. She works via telehealth with individuals, couples, and families around relationship issues and reconnection, self-exploration, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. Krista brings a human systems perspective to the work, recognizing that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped by the relationships and environments we're part of.
Krista draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems Theory to help clients build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and foster lasting connection. Her therapeutic philosophy is grounded in the belief that change happens as we learn more about ourselves, why we do what we do, and discover new ways of being in our relationships. She collaborates closely with clients, respecting their expertise in their own lives and uncovering together what works best for them.
Krista holds an M.A. in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle and a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Washington University. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) Level 1, Lifespan Integration Level 1, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 and 2. Krista's path into therapy was shaped by a diverse professional background and her personal journey as a breast cancer survivor. She volunteers with Seattle Pride, LifeWire, FareStart, and Birthday Dreams. Outside of session, she spends time with family, friends, and her cat Gracie, and enjoys dancing, live music, and sporting events.
Change happens as we start to understand why we do what we do.
