IN THE COMMUNITY

Community service

Relationships extend past the therapy room. A few times a year our team steps out of the office and into the neighborhoods our clients live in, repairing homes, feeding neighbors, and gathering what people need to get through a Pacific Northwest winter.

NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2025 · TACOMA

Holiday Drive and meal service at the Tacoma Rescue Mission

From November 17th through December 12th, 2025, our office ran a Holiday Drive for guests of the Tacoma Rescue Mission. Clients, colleagues and neighbors filled our waiting room with clothing and cold-weather essentials: blankets, tarps, hand warmers and cup o' noodles, along with deodorant, soaps, books and wet wipes.

On December 21st, our team prepared and served meals at the Mission. It was a long shift in a warm kitchen, and one of the easiest yeses our staff makes all year.

JULY 2025 · SOUTH SOUND

Rebuilding Day with Rebuilding Together South Sound

In July 2025 our staff joined Rebuilding Together South Sound for Rebuilding Day, a single-day volunteer effort that makes critical repairs to the homes of low-income homeowners, older adults and veterans across Pierce County, so people can stay in the houses they have lived in for decades.

Our crew spent the day on one home alongside the homeowner and other volunteers from the South Sound.

The same thing that makes therapy work makes a neighborhood work: people showing up for each other.
