Group Therapy

Group therapy provides a unique opportunity to heal and grow in community. While individual and couples therapy offer one-on-one support, groups allow you to connect with others who share similar struggles, experiences, and hopes. In a safe and supportive environment, participants can practice new skills, build confidence, and discover that they are not alone.

At Northwest Relationships, our groups are led by trained therapists who bring expertise in relational, systemic, and trauma-informed care. We create intentional spaces that honor diversity, promote equity, and encourage growth. Each group is designed with both education and connection in mind—blending guided discussion, experiential activities, and supportive dialogue.

How to Sign Up

Joining a group at Northwest Relationships begins with a simple step: reaching out to our office. Because every group is designed with specific needs in mind, we want to make sure each participant finds the right fit.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. Contact Us – Call our office at 253-292-1216 or email us at info@northwestrelationships.com to let us know you’re interested in joining a group.

  2. Brief Consultation – Our staff will schedule a short call to learn more about your needs and help determine which group is the best match.

  3. Confirm Your Spot – Once you’re matched with the right group, we’ll guide you through the registration process and provide any details you need before the first session.

What to Expect

Our groups typically run for 6–12 weeks, with weekly 90-120 minute sessions. Each group has a specific focus, such as navigating relationships, managing anxiety, or supporting life transitions. You’ll generally meet with the same small group of participants each week, creating a consistent and safe space for growth.

Participation is confidential, and many groups are covered by insurance. Before joining, we’ll schedule a brief consultation to make sure the group is the right fit for your needs.

How much do groups cost?

Most of our groups are covered by insurance (unless otherwise noted). If you have questions about coverage or payment, our office staff will be glad to walk you through the options.
