Get to know me

Brittany Thomas is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Sexual Minority Mental Health Specialist, and Child Mental Health Specialist at Northwest Relationships. She works with individuals, couples, and families around anxiety, identity exploration, relationship dynamics, life transitions, personal growth, neurodivergence and ADHD, grief and loss, and the impact of internalized oppression. While Brittany often works with Queer, trans, poly, kink, and neurodivergent clients, her space is open to all who are seeking support.

Brittany's work is grounded in systems theory, which takes seriously how family, culture, and society shape our struggles and our strengths. She integrates Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients set meaningful goals and take manageable steps toward change. She uses both talk therapy and creative interventions, tailoring the process to each client's needs. Her style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, and she's especially drawn to helping people navigate moments when they're feeling overwhelmed, stuck on communication, or questioning their next steps.

Brittany earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from Central Washington University. She is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor through AAMFT, and supervises a number of associate and intern clinicians at Northwest Relationships. Brittany identifies as a Queer, cis, neurodivergent, white woman, non-religious but Midwest Christian-raised. She brings lived experience, humility, and awareness of how her own identities intersect with and differ from her clients' lives. Outside of session, Brittany spends time with loved ones, knits, engages in the arts (music, theater, photography, museums), lifts weights, and gets outside in nature.

You can truly exhale here. Show up just as you are.
