Get to know me

Cheri Keller is a Marriage and Family Therapy intern at Northwest Relationships, practicing under the supervision of Robin Beckley, LMFT. She works with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families around anxiety, attachment and relationship dynamics, parenting challenges, family systems, trauma (including religious trauma), grief and loss, and personal growth. Her clinical stance is collaborative and client-led, grounded in the belief that each person is the expert on their own life.

Cheri draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (for individuals, couples, and families), Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring the approach to meet each client where they are. She pays close attention to how a person experiences the world, and adapts the pace and methods of the work to support both immediate relief and longer-term growth. Cheri brings warmth, steadiness, and a calm, nonjudgmental presence to the room.

Cheri came to therapy through a major life pivot. After a 35-year career in state service supporting leaders through complex problems, she felt called to use her heart-centered approach to help people strengthen their relationships and live more meaningful lives. She holds a B.A. in History from Pacific Lutheran University (cum laude, 1987) and is currently completing her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle. Cheri is a Student Member of AAMFT and WAMFT. She identifies as a white, nonbinary person and lifelong feminist committed to anti-racist values, raised in a large working-class religious family and now agnostic and spiritually grounded. She has been married to her partner for many decades and is a parent to two adult children. Outside of session, Cheri walks, hikes, plays in bands, cooks, watercolors, spends time in nature, and volunteers baking and delivering food for unhoused neighbors.

The work is finding more authentic ways to relate to yourself and the people you love.
