Get to know me
I want therapy to be a place where you feel seen first, fixed never. I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens on life transitions, relationship dynamics, and trans-affirming care, care that treats gender identity as simply part of who someone is, not a clinical issue to be managed.
I think of the work as a co-pilot relationship, you're the one steering, and my job is to help you see the road more clearly, not to take the wheel from you. Life transitions, whether that's a move, a breakup, a gender transition, or just the slow realization that something in your life needs to change, are a big part of what brings people to me, and I try to meet that with steadiness rather than urgency. I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens, and I hold trans-affirming care as a distinct focus, not a subset of general LGBTQ+ affirming language.
I practice under the supervision of Margaret MacLeod, LMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, as I complete my hours toward full licensure, which means the clinical decisions I make in session are reviewed by someone with years of specific training in exactly this kind of oversight. I work with teens as well as adults, and I try to bring the same steadiness to a sixteen-year-old sorting out their identity as I do to an adult navigating a divorce.
I'm a good fit for someone in Tacoma or across Washington state navigating a life transition, or a trans or gender-diverse client looking for an affirming associate clinician who won't need the basics explained first.
Request a session or start an intake form to get started. First sessions with me are about orientation, not evaluation, understanding where you are and where you want to go, not judging how you got here. If you're navigating a gender transition alongside a relationship or family transition, I want to hear about both, they usually aren't separate conversations.
I'm a co-pilot. You're the one steering.
