Dayna Christensen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at Northwest Relationships, practicing under the supervision of Margaret MacLeod, LMFT. She works with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents through life's complex transitions and challenges. Dayna brings particular care for LGBTQ+ clients and is a fierce ally for the trans community, with a longstanding connection to the LGBTQQIP2SA community both inside and outside the therapy room.

Dayna's practice draws from Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based and Solutions-Focused approaches, CBT, the Gottman Method, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She tailors her approach to each client's unique story and learning style. Dayna views the therapeutic alliance as a partnership built on trust, honesty, open communication, and commitment, and sees herself as a co-pilot, providing observations, tools, and steady support while empowering clients to steer the course of their own healing and growth.

Dayna earned her M.A. in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Washington. She is a member of AAMFT. She brings her authentic self into her practice as a queer, neurodivergent, spiritual woman and a single mom of a young adult. She has volunteered with Lambert House, Camp Ten Trees, and Burien C.A.R.E.S., reflecting her commitment to community. Outside of session, Dayna enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, people-watching, and game nights with her chosen family. Fun fact: she's known among friends as something of an animal whisperer.

I'm a co-pilot. You're the one steering.
