Get to know me
I was born and raised in Tacoma, and my picture of therapy looks like this: I'm not the bridge between you and what you need, and I'm not a friend walking you across. I have no control over the weather or the view. I'm the railing, steady on either side, there when you reach for it and holding for as long as the crossing takes.
I'm a Couples and Family Therapy intern working with individuals, couples, families, and children and teens. I'm especially energized by teens and families with teens, by new parents renegotiating their relationship, and by sex therapy with individuals and couples. How our families, identities, and histories shape our relationship with sex and sexuality fascinates me, and I want to offer a comfortable, sex-positive space to explore it. I also hold deep interests in OCD and neurodivergence, gender affirming care, and substance use and recovery. My work draws on Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, attachment theory, narrative therapy, and solution-focused and contextual family therapy.
I know some of this terrain personally. I'm a queer cis woman who has spent real time exploring my own gender identity, and I live with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Very little feels off-limits to me, and when sharing part of my story can genuinely serve yours, I'll use it thoughtfully. Therapy works when you're seen as a whole person rather than a presenting problem, and honesty about what I know and what I'm still learning is part of how I earn trust.
I'm completing my graduate training in Couple and Family Therapy at Antioch University, with coursework in neurodiversity, OCD, gender affirming care, family play therapy, and liberation healing practices, and upcoming training in sex therapy, the Gottman Method, and TF-CBT. I'm supervised by Brittany Thomas, LMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, who reviews my clinical work as part of standard practice at Northwest Relationships.
Outside sessions I'm with my soul dog Weasley on a trail or in the water, crocheting, biking, catching live music, or hosting friends with thoughtful decorations and food I cooked myself. I volunteer at Recovery Cafe in Seattle and love existing in a recovery space. I also have three pet rats named Romany, Gaucho, and Spike, which tells you most of what you need to know about my capacity for unconditional positive regard. The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea. And I'll be the railing.
