Get to know me

If you're a parent looking for someone who can actually see your teenager, or an adult still untangling what you carried from your family, I'm Jennifer Baldwin. I'm a Marriage and Family Therapy intern at Northwest Relationships in Tacoma, working under the supervision of Robin Beckley, LMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and I see clients age 13 and up, a wider range than most interns on this roster.

I want therapy to be a place where you feel safe enough to slow down and look at how childhood wounds still show up in adult relationships, without feeling rushed toward a tidy resolution. I work with relationships, anxiety, identity, and family-of-origin patterns, drawing on Internal Family Systems, somatic awareness, Emotionally Focused Therapy, a developmental model that looks at what stage of relational growth a person or couple is actually in, and both Structural and Bowenian family approaches. My work is affirming of gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity, meaning I don't treat any of those as something that needs fixing or explaining. I'm completing my MA at Antioch University Seattle.

Because I see clients starting at 13, families with a teenager who needs support alongside their own individual or couples work have an option here that many other clinicians on this roster, focused on adults 18 and up, can't offer.

I'm a good fit for a teenager or family in Tacoma or across Washington state, since I'm one of the few intern clinicians here seeing clients under 18.

Request a session or start an intake form when you're ready. If you're a parent and want to know how a first session with a 13-year-old typically goes, send a question first and I'm glad to walk you through it. I completed my training at Antioch University Seattle, a program with a specific focus on relational and systemic therapy, which is a large part of why family-of-origin work is such a central piece of how I practice.

Together we will uncover your way forward, one honest, connected step at a time.
