Get to know me

My first career was in fashion. I worked as a technical designer at Savage X Fenty, helping people feel confident in how they showed up to the world. I'm a Couples and Family Therapy intern in Tacoma now because I wanted to help people build that confidence from the inside, through healing, self-understanding, and honest self-expression.

I work from a systemic, trauma-informed lens using Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method, where I've completed Level 1 and Level 2 training. I see behaviors and patterns with curiosity rather than pathology. The parts of yourself you dislike or feel ashamed of usually developed to protect you, and they make more sense the closer we look.

I'm especially drawn to religious trauma and deconstruction, purity culture and sexual shame, OCD and anxiety, neurodivergence, and the intersection of religious trauma and LGBTQIA+ identity. I love working with couples who genuinely care about each other but keep getting stuck in the same cycles of conflict and disconnection, and with anyone examining the stories they inherited from family, community, or religion and deciding which ones to keep.

I'm completing my graduate training in the Couples and Family Therapy program at Antioch University, with ongoing continuing education in play therapy and obsessive compulsive disorders, and I'm supervised by Robin Beckley, LMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, who reviews my clinical work as part of standard practice at Northwest Relationships. I work with individuals, couples, families, and children and teens.

Outside the therapy room I'm paddleboarding, painting nail designs, making candles, writing poetry, or hosting friends and family. A line from bell hooks guides my work: rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing happens in relationship, and I'd be honored to be part of yours.

All parts are welcomed but not all behaviors.
