Get to know me

I listen for what's said and for what's left unsaid. I'm a bilingual Marriage and Family Therapy intern in Tacoma working in both English and Spanish, and I help individuals, couples, and families look at the scripts they inherited about family, conflict, and connection, and decide together which ones still serve them.

I draw on Bowenian and Structural approaches, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory, working especially with intergenerational patterns, the beliefs and behaviors passed down across generations that often go unquestioned until someone finally names them out loud. I hold SBIRT certification for substance use screening and brief intervention as well. I also speak conversational Portuguese in addition to English and Spanish.

I'm supervised by Robin Beckley, LMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, who reviews my clinical work as part of standard practice at Northwest Relationships. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I try to leave room in every session for the specific script a client names, rather than assuming I already know which inherited pattern is at play.

I'm a good fit for a Spanish-speaking family in Tacoma or across Washington state working through intergenerational patterns or anxiety, especially if language access has been a barrier in finding relational therapy before. Creating a confidential, nonjudgmental, caring, and validating space is central to my therapeutic approach. I’m a gender, neurodiversity, and polyamory affirming therapist.

Request a session or start an intake form in whichever language feels most natural, English or Spanish. If you'd rather ask a question first, that's a fine way to begin too. Twenty-three years of my own marriage and ongoing volunteer work with Casa Latina both shape how I think about family and community, and I bring that same grounded, patient approach into session.

Not everyone is going to love you. Choose to love yourself. Try your very best to do that every day.
