Get to know me

Robin Beckley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and Child Mental Health Specialist at Northwest Relationships. She works with individuals, adolescents, adults, couples, and families around identity development, anxiety, trauma healing, the recognition of childhood wounds and survival patterns, and the dynamics that shape relationships and self-worth. She has particular care for LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse youth and adults.

Robin's approach is strength-focused and systems-based, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and systems theory. She believes therapy should be personalized rather than one-size-fits-all, and works with each client to figure out what kind of support actually fits their life. Robin is also a dedicated supervisor and mentor for interns and associate therapists working toward licensure, with a strong foundation in the Person-of-the-Therapist (POTT) model. As a Child Mental Health Specialist, she supports supervisees in deepening their work with children, adolescents, and families.

Robin earned her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University and her B.S. in Psychology from Western Washington University. She is a Clinical Fellow of AAMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and serves as a mentor to AAMFT Supervisor Candidates. She has additional training in CBT+ and Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1. Outside of session, Robin loves being in nature, going for walks, visiting lakes and beaches, and spending time with family. And if you share a birthday with her, there's a 90% chance she'll remember it forever.

Having and communicating boundaries is not saying no to others but yes to yourself.
