Meet Mark Anthony Valdez, a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Child Mental Health Specialist whose therapeutic approach is deeply anchored in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices. With specialized training in clinical trauma, Trauma-focused CBT, CBT+, Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and specific trainings for working with LGBTQ+ teens and transgender and non-binary adult clients, Mark Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice.

Mark Anthony's therapeutic journey began with a BA in Psychology from Brandman University, followed by an MA in Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the same institution. His commitment to professional excellence is further demonstrated by his active involvement in the AAMFT and WAMFT, reflecting his dedication to the highest standards of therapeutic practice.

He works with individuals, couples, teens, adults, and offers parenting support, utilizing a blend of CBT, Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to tailor his approach to the unique needs of each client.

He has a particular affinity for working with clients who are on a journey to understand themselves better and become their most authentic selves, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside the therapy room, Mark Anthony values the time spent with family and friends. He is an avid gamer, enjoys making the most of his gym membership, and participates in intramural sports, reflecting his belief in the importance of balance and well-being in all aspects of life.
